  • Face Masks Required on West of Hudson Trains While Traveling in New Jersey
  • Starting Sunday April 12 customers are required to use face masks or face coverings while traveling on New Jersey Transit trains in NJ. This includes Metro-North customers on the Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines traveling into New Jersey. The requirement is by order of NJ Governor Murphy that all riders are required to wear a face covering when traveling either on NJ Transit or with a private carrier, unless they cannot for medical reasons. According to Gov. Murphy, a face covering does not mean a medical-grade mask. There are any number of ways you can cover your mouth and nose with a bandana or a homemade fabric covering.
