Penn Station Elevator Outage – Tracks 18/19

The Central Corridor elevator to/from Tracks 18/19 will be taken out of service for upgrades and modernization.Alternative escalator access to/from Tracks 18/19 is available in the Exit Concourse.  

For customers who require the use of an elevator, please see below:

Eastbound: Please call 718-LIRR-CARE (mobile users please direct dial 718-547-7227) at least two hours prior to the scheduled departure time of your train. Call service is available 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Real-time assistance is available as well, from 6:00 AM through 10:00 PM, daily, by visiting the Penn Station Customer Service Office or notifying an Ambassador. For real-time assistance, please provide at least 15 minutes advance notice of your train’s scheduled departure time.

Westbound:  Please notify the crew of your train that you will require the use of an elevator upon arriving at Penn Station so that accommodations can be made to provide access to the elevator located at Track 17.

We expect the elevator to return to service by the end of August 2020, and appreciate your patience while work is underway.
