February 15: Merillon Avenue  Eastbound Platform Reopens

Effective Monday, February 15, the south side (eastbound) platform at Merillon Avenue Station will fully reopen. Please see below for updates to boarding patterns and access points:

North side (westbound) platform:
All customers will continue to enter/exit the train from the first six cars. The platform can be reached via three access points: a temporary walkway extending from Atlantic Avenue to the station; an access point just east of the Ticket Machines; and an access point just west of Nassau Boulevard on the north side of the station.  

South side (eastbound) platform:
Customers will be able to board/enter trains from all train cars. The platform will continue to be reached via two access points: an access point just north of where Wellington Road meets Main Avenue, and an access point just west of Nassau Boulevard on the south side of the station.

Please plan ahead and allow additional time to reach the station platforms as construction activity remains ongoing.

The LIRR Expansion Project will add a third track along nearly 10 miles of right-of-way between Floral Park and Hicksville, increasing capacity, improving reliability and creating new service opportunities. Thank you for your patience while work is underway.
