July 18-19, 25-26 & August 1-2: Buses Substitute for Weekend Trains Between Woodside and Flushing (Overnight thru Morning)

Trains Will Operate Between Port Washington and Flushing-Main St. Only

On the weekends of July 18-19, 25-26 and August 1-2, train service between Woodside and Flushing-Main St. will be suspended during the overnight through mid-morning period on Saturday as well as Sunday as concrete tie installation work is performed.

During the service suspension, which will last from approximately midnight through 10:30 AM, all Port Washington Branch trains will terminate/originate at Flushing-Main St. Station. Customers can board non-Port Washington Branch trains for service between Penn Station and Woodside Station. At Woodside, free LIRR shuttle buses will be available to transport customers between Flushing-Main St. and Woodside Station, where train service will resume. Please allow for an additional 40 minutes of travel time.

Note: NYC Transit will cross-honor LIRR tickets for service at Woodside and Flushing on the subway line from 5 AM - 11 AM, Saturday and Sunday, to provide an additional travel option. Please be aware that LIRR trains are scheduled to connect with LIRR shuttle buses; customers who use the subway line may encounter additional wait time if transferring to LIRR trains at Woodside or Flushing.

Please be advised that masks are required at LIRR stations and for all those riding our trains. While onboard, masks/face coverings must remain on for the duration of your travel – this includes when traveling on LIRR shuttle buses.

Please plan ahead: Additional service changes will also be in effect on the weekend of August 8-9.   For the remaining weekends of August, and the first weekend of September, shuttle buses are expected to operate for a shorter window of time (approximately 1:30 AM – 8 AM).
