Buses Replace Trains between Long Beach & Valley Stream on Three Consecutive Weekends, April 7-8, April 14-15 and April 21-22

Lynbrook Customers Have the Option of Using Regularly Scheduled Babylon Branch Trains for Travel to/from Jamaica and Penn Station.

Installation of new rail ties on the Reynold’s Channel Bridge, which connects Long Beach and Island Park, will require closure of the bridge for three consecutive weekends. As a result, buses will replace Saturday/Sunday trains between Long Beach and Valley Stream on the weekends of April 7-8, April 14-15 and April 21-22. In addition, buses will replace several Friday night trains at the start of each weekend. Lynbrook customers will have the option of using Babylon Branch trains for travel to/from Jamaica and Penn Station. Customers at other stations will be affected as follows:

Westbound
Customers at stations Long Beach through Lynbrook will board buses departing up to one hour and six minutes later than normal weekend train times. At Valley Stream, customers will board westbound trains. Please plan for 28 minutes of additional travel time.

Eastbound
Customers will travel by train as far as Valley Stream, then board buses for transportation to stations Lynbrook through Long Beach. Please plan for up to 28 minutes of additional travel time.
