Request for Industry-Wide Information on Surface Preparation and Painting for New York City Transits Elevated Infrastructure MTA-New York City Transit (NYCT) seeks information from the Painting and Coating industry as to the current state of the industry with respect to painting steel transportation infrastructure situated in densely populated urban environments. NYCT wishes to effectively maintain, protect, and prolong the life of its elevated steel infrastructure, much of which has been in continuous service for over 100 years. NYCT will evaluate industry findings and recommendations, and may incorporate promising results into its specifications for use on future capital projects and maintenance programs. For additional information concerning this project, including submission requirements, visit the MTA Vendor portal at www.mymta.info and follow the below instructions to access the RFI documents: 1- Log onto the MTA Vendor portal 2- Click View Events and Place Bids 3- Enter in the SSE Event Number and click Search 4- Once the event information appears click Bid On Event 5- Click Submit Bid 6- Look for the link Event Comments and Attachments.
