Grant Management

The following list presents six recently awarded Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grants. NY-2020-069, NY-2020-074, NY-2020-077 funded projects for LIRR, MNR, NYCT and NY-2020-011-01 (CARES Act) grant and its amendment funded MTA operating assistance.  The grant amendments NY-2019-057-01 and NY-2019-058-01 added funding to an existing MTA Bus grant. This is the MTA's final program of projects for the Section 5307 funding obligated in Federal Fiscal Year 2020.

The non-CARES Act grants obligated a total of $ $661,222,414 of Section 5307 funds for NYCT, LIRR, MNR and MTA Bus were executed between July and September, 2020. The public hearings for the proposed program of projects were held by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, on September 6, 2018 and January 15, 2020. This list is provided to the public as required by 49 USC 5307.

The CARES Act grant in the amount of $4,009,469,417 administered under the Urbanized Area Formula Program (49 USC 5307) and awarded by Federal Transit Administration (FTA) was for MTA operating assistance.
