Lindsay Dragan is a Brooklyn-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, she was raised on the classic rock stylings of Fleetwood Mac and Led Zeppelin, while the radio played female singer-songwriters like Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, and Shawn Colvin. These influences are still apparent in Dragan’s music today, mixed with the grit of busking the subway system. Dragan joined MUNY in 2011, a feat, she says, she’s honored to have pulled off. “I spent the first several months, like any other new artist, barely making rent and singing until my voice got hoarse for that extra dollar.” She enjoys being able to use an amplifier for her scheduled MUNY appearances. In addition to her solo work, Dragan is also half of the Brooklyn indie duo Sunshowers, where she plays guitar and drums, sings, and shares writing credits with musical partner Matthew Keesan.
