An Update To Our Newburgh-Beacon Ferry Customers:
We are providing an update on the status of the Newburgh dock and parking facility that is leased to the City of Newburgh by a private property owner.
The City of Newburgh and the property owner have signed a lease extension through December 31, 2015. As you may recall, the current lease expires on May 3, 2015. Metro-North manages the ferry operation, and it is the City of Newburgh's responsibility to provide docking and parking facilities for ferry customers.
At this time, while Metro-North does not believe there will be an interruption in service beyond December 31, we will continue to keep you informed on the status of discussions regarding the Newburgh dock and parking facilities.
