Bronx Zoo

The experience

Here at the Bronx Zoo we foster a welcoming environment for everyone that offers outdoors, animals, architecture and history, education and entertainment. Spanning 265 acres of hardwood forest and home to 6,000 animals and more than 700 species, our park contains numerous innovative, forward-thinking exhibits that are designed to immerse visitors in the surroundings of different regions around the world.

The park is a safe space where everyone can connect with nature and unwind from the thrills of the city. It's also an opportunity to learn about the ongoing conservation efforts to protect the future of all species and the places they call home. Every visit to the Bronx Zoo is unique and unexpected - you never know what you will see or how you might connect with the animals. At the Bronx Zoo we foster community, and create an inviting culture for everyone to enjoy the park.

Schedules and events are subject to change. For complete information about events, visit or call 718-220-5100.
