The experience

There’s something for everyone at the Bronx Zoo! This world-famous wildlife park boasts more than 6,000 animals across a sprawling 265 acres. Award-winning exhibits allow guests the chance to experience the wonder of wildlife in naturalistic settings and meet exotic, endangered animals from around the globe.

Don’t miss acclaimed attractions such as Congo Gorilla Forest, JungleWorld, Madagascar and Tiger Mountain. Take a spin on the Bug Carousel or enjoy visiting with rowdy sea lions as they enjoy a mid-day snack.

Seasonal attractions include Butterfly Garden, Children’s Zoo, and the Wild Asia Monorail that takes you on a ride past elephants, rhinos, wild horses and more.

GENERAL ADMISSION PACKAGE (year-round)

  • ADMISSION: Discount general admission to the Zoo: adults, $11.25; seniors/disabled/individuals receiving Medicare, $9.75; children 3-12, $9; children under 3, free.

TOTAL EXPERIENCE PACKAGE (5/24/14 – 10/26/14)
  • ADMISSION: Discount general admission to the Zoo and unlimited entrance to attractions on your date of visit (excluding Camel rides): adults, $25; seniors/disabled/ individuals receiving Medicare, $21; children 3-12, $18; children under 3, free.
  • RAIL FARE: Discount round-trip rail fare.  Click for price from your boarding station.
Purchase your rail/admission ticket from any Metro-North ticket office or full-service ticket vending machine (excluding Fordham Station) and through WebTicket.

Getting there

Address: 183rd Street and Southern Boulevard

Take the Harlem Line to Fordham Station. When you arrive at the station, look for signs directing you to the Bx9 bus (be sure to pay with either a MetroCard or $2.50 in coins). The bus will take you right to the Zoo entrance on Southern Boulevard.
