Charge It! Limited Pilot Program Introduces Onboard Credit Card Payment to Danbury and Wassaic Branches

Metro-North conductors are now fully equipped with new Ticket Issuing Machines (TIMs), which enable customers to use credit cards to purchase tickets onboard their trains.

The expansion of the TIMs commenced earlier this year after a successful pilot launch on the Danbury and Wassaic branches.

Multiple payment options are accepted for onboard ticket purchases, including cash, credit cards, pinless debit cards (also gift cards), and Transit Benefit cards with the option of partial payments from up to two sources. Conductors will also be able to print out customer receipts from their upgraded TIMs.

Please remember that purchasing your ticket onboard the train is always the most expensive option.
