Port Jervis Line Schedule Adjustment Effective December 8, 2019
NJ Transit has advised Metro-North of a schedule adjustment effective Sunday, December 8, 2019, which will result in minor changes to the timings of several Port Jervis Line trains.
There are no changes to Pascack Valley Line trains.
The schedule adjustments are the result of the cab-signal installation on the Port Jervis Line in preparation for the implementation of Positive Train Control. The adjustments reflect the revised operating conditions and will provide more reliable service for our customers. For individual trip information, please consult the train schedule on our West of Hudson Schedules page.
On the Port Jervis Line:
- The 11:35 a.m. train from Port Jervis is diverted east of Suffern from the Main Line to the Bergen County Line between Ridgewood and Secaucus Junction because of train congestion on the Main Line.
- The 9:21 a.m. train from Hoboken will depart at 9:15 a.m., 6 minutes earlier, and has a connection from Penn Station - New York that departs at 9:07 a.m., 7 minutes earlier.
- The 4:04 p.m. train from Hoboken will depart at 4:01 p.m., 3 minutes earlier, and has a connection train from Penn Station-New York that departs at 3:53 p.m., 4 minutes earlier.
