Vintage Subway & Bus Fleet

Take a historic ride on a vintage subway or bus*.
Pay with MetroCard®. The cost to ride is $2.75, the same as any other subway or bus.

*Vintage subway and bus service is subject to equipment availability and favorable weather.

The Vintage train runs every Sunday,
December 6, 13, 20, and 27, 10 AM to 5 PM

Customers using the 6 Avenue line between the Queens Plaza and 2 Av stations have a treat in store. MTA New York City Transit's "Nostalgia Shoppers' Special Train" is running again!"

You can catch a ride on these classic R1/9 subway cars at stations along the weekday M line icon line between Queens Plaza and 2 Av. You can board the train at these stations:

Queens Plaza • 34 St Herald Sq
• 23 St-Ely Av • 23 St (6 Av)
• Lexington Av/53 St • 14 St (6 Av)
• 5 Av/53 St • W 4 St Wash Sq
• 47-50 Sts/Rockefeller Center • B’way-Lafayette St
•42 St Bryant Park 2 Av (F line icon line)
The New York Transit Museum will also have a pop-up store at 2 Av.  Or click here to shop online.

Departures from 2nd Avenue are at
10:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4:00 PM.

Departures from Queens Plaza are at 10:45 AM, 12:15 PM, 1:45 PM, 3:15 PM and 4:45 PM.
Vintage Train

Vintage buses run Monday to Friday,
November 30 to December 18, 9 AM to 9 PM

Vintage New York City Transit buses are running in passenger service across 42 Street along the M42 route.

This year features buses No: 2969, 3100, 6259, 9098.

With a little bit of luck and good timing, you can catch a ride on one of these classic buses!
