    In accordance with federal guidelines MTACC must make available a variety of enabling documents, agreements, memoranda and reports on SAS. Those documents as well as recent community updates and informational brochures about SAS can be found on these pages.

    A Second Avenue Subway Phase 2 Environmental Assessment Public Comment Meeting was held in East Harlem on July 31st. A brief project status update was given (can be found in the documents listed above), the public had a chance to enter comments in to record either verbally or in writing, and various elected officials, elected official’s representatives, and East Harlem advocacy groups turned out to speak in support of the project.

    The formal public review and comment period ended on August 13th, however the MTA is committed to responding and submitting to the FTA comments received after this date. The Environmental Assessment can be found on the MTA website, at the Second Avenue Subway Community Information Center, 69 East 125th Street, or at the Community Board 10, and 11 District Offices. A Spanish language translation of the Executive Summary, detailing the findings, is available as well. Comments can be submitted in person or in writing to the following addresses:
